CHU Lille

France - Lille

The SLA/ALS Reference Center and other Motor Neuron Rare Diseases coordinates the medical pathway of patients with rare diseases, from diagnosis to treatment.

A reference centre brings together a multidisciplinary team highly specialized hospital. Because of the rarity of the pathologies being treated, it provides a redress role for doctors, patients and their families. The SLA/ALS Reference Center and other Motor Neuron Rare Diseases coordinates the medical pathway of patients with rare diseases, from diagnosis to treatment.

It is located at the Salengro Hospital, University Hospital of Lille, North of France, where patients are received in outpatient, day hospital or outpatient or conventional hospitalization. You will find in this brochure the contact details of our multidisciplinary team, as well as some useful contacts. The center is very involved in the ethical aspects of the disease and its management. In term of research, our center coordinates the national PULSE study to develop new dry and wet surrogate and theragnostic biomarkers and innovative therapeutic strategies for a more powerful neuroprotection (conservative iron chelation, anti-ferroptotic drugs, platelet-based biotherapies administrated by brain infusion).
