I work at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and at the Neurology Department of Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona (HUVH) from June 2012. My job is centered in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular and rare diseases, both as a staff neurologist and as a clinical investigator at the Neuromuscular and Rare Diseases Unit, belonging to the EURO NMD European Reference Network and coordinated by Dr. Josep Gamez (2020), and now by Dr. R. Juntas. I joined the Peripheral Nervous System Research Group (former PI Dr. J. Gamez) at the VHIR in 2012, which main research lines are based in the biomarkers and genetic factors involved in the familial forms of ALS, autoinmune myasthenia gravis, and also genetically determined neuropathies and myopathies. I have co-authored more than 30 research papers in scientific journals and book chapters. In February 2020 I obtained my title of Doctor in Medicine with research thesis on the predisposing genetic factors in the familial and sporadic phenotypes of autoimmune MG.
In 2013, she was awarded for the Scientific Poster Award at the International Symposium for ALS (MNDA) held in Brussels.
I am co-investigator in numerous projects and grants.
