François Salachas

Dr François Salachas heads the Paris ALS expert center in Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital. He works in this Center since 1994. He joined ten years ago, as clinician-researcher, the lab headed by Severine Boilee at the Paris Brain institute. His main topics of interest are phenotype/genotype relationship, Kennedy disease, inflammatory participation to disease progression and respiratory function evaluation and support. He has been involved as PI or subinvestigator in more than 40 clinical trials and in quality control of respiratory measurements. He is member of the french ALS centers network and of the ENCALS executive board. He is the medical community representant of the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital since 2024.
