Gaelle Bruneteau

Neurologist

Prof. Gaëlle Bruneteau is Professor of Neurology at Sorbonne University, Consultant Neurologist at the Paris ALS expert center ,Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, and clinician-researcher at the Clinical Investigation Center of the Paris Brain Institute (Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris). She has been working as a neurologist in the Paris ALS expert center since 2005 and has been involved as a PI or a subinvestigator in more than 25 clinical trials in the field of ALS. She leads a research group focussed on molecular mechanisms underlying neuromuscular junction and muscle dysfunction in ALS. She is also a coordinator of the French clinical investigation network “Alliance on Clinical Trials for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis – Motor Neuron Disease” (ACT4ALS-MND), hosted by the Paris Brain Institute, which brings together the expertise of the 22 French ALS expert centers and can provide operational support for all steps of a research project in the field in France.
